I am absolutely thrilled to have won a Haiku competition.  I won a Two Day Haiku and Mindfulness Workshop at Carousel Writers’ Centre in the Dublin Mountains! The entries had all to be titled Summer and this is mine:

Dropped ice-cream melting
and merging with the path.
Even this brings joy.

About the Workshop: “Workshop participants will receive tuition in haiku and related forms plus breathing light and related exercises. We will also get outside for at least one ginko, or composition stroll, taking inspiration from the local views flora and wildlife.”

The Workshop sounds perfect for me.  I had already decided to use more mindfulness in my daily life and to take up writing more seriously and this could not have come at a better time.  It feels like destiny 😀 .
