I love Autumn. I love how the evenings start to point towards Christmas and how life starts to huddle around spots of lights like firesides and lamps. I tried to create an Autumn atmosphere in my recent acrylic paintings.  I used real leaves and a lot of texture medium to try to capture some of the depth and colour of the season.

Me after a class tour during which I learned nothing I have is waterproof.

I have also given my blog a little makeover and added new blog buttons and graphics.   Autumn has always been a time fornew beginnings in my life; a time when I make changes and start new things.   So much more than New Years, this is the time I start over and this blog will see some changes.
